The other day I took Ty, her mother, and my son to Harrison for Ty to have a MRI of a lump on or under one of Ty’s breast, and let me tell you this trip was a very educational trip. Kay is a very loud person, who has to be the constant center of attention. She is very deceptive, likes to embellish a lot, and has one heck of a mouth on her. She likes to use the GD word a lot and the “ F ” word a lot. I learned about a lot of Kay’s past sexual relationships she had, was told Ty was a “Truck Stop Bathroom Baby“, that Ty’s father and Kay had hooked up in a Truck Stop bathroom and that is how Ty was conceived. I was told about all the partying they liked to do in Tennessee, about how Kay was raped my a police officer in Tennessee, about how Ty once drank Kay under the table at age 16, and about how any time since the age of 14 when Ty would get to cranky/bitchy she knew it was time for Ty to go get laid because it meant it had been to long since she (Ty) had gotten laid. All of this was told to me in my Van on our trip to and from Harrison, Arkansas in front of my 19 year old son Steven. Needless to say I was in shock and at a loss for words at times. I just laughed as if I thought it amusing when in reality I was trying to hold it all together and not go off on her for talking this way in front of me and my son, and not to be physically ill. No wonder Ty has the problems she has being raised like this. Kay is suppose to be a mother not a best friend and a buddy to party with. I have also noticed how controlling Kay is with Ty and others. Everything has to be Kay’s way, and done when Kay says so. I feel so sorry for Ty, but at least she is living with is us now and probably for the first time in years is experiencing what a real normal family life is suppose to be like.

I got up this morning and made my husband and myself some homemade waffles. As we were finishing eating them my husband looks to me and says, lets lick our plates clean. I looked up at him and said "excuse me?" He smiled as he told me that we sometimes get so caught up in life that we forget how to live life, how to live in the moment. That we need to free ourselves and our souls every once in a while from this life we call "BEING ADULTS" and just throw in the towel to all these rules and lick our plates clean. I laughed as I asked him if he was serious? He said "YES" as he picked up his plate and started licking the syrup off his plate. He looked at me over the rim of his plate and asked, "are you not going to join me? Come on honey toss away the rule book for just a few moments and lick your plate clean!" I just laughed as I picked up my plate thinking my husband has gone mental. We sat their laughing while we licked our plates clean. I must admit that it was fun, and I did for just a few moments this morning feel like a kid again and it felt GREAT!! Just one more memory I get to share with him, and with our future grand kids. Even though at the time I thought my husband was crazy, I now see what he was saying. We do get so caught up in "LIFE" that we forget how to live life. I use to be this care free girl, that would not have thought twice about licking her plate if someone suggested it, but after having kids and sitting good examples for them, that care free girls spirit's light had diminished into nothingness. That is until this morning, and now I have a smile on my face that cannot be wiped away, and my care free light has been re-lit. "LIFE" is to precious to just let it just pass you by. You've got to grab "LIFE" by the horns and break it's rules sometimes, so as you get older you never forget how to really LIVE, LAUGH, and LOVE with NO REGRETS!! So break some rule of your LIFE today, the rules that you live by to be a good role model (not the rules made by our legal system...lol), and feel like you are really LIVING LIFE!!
