This recipe is so easy and quick to prepare and taste so delicious! Prep time 20 minutes, cook time 35 minutes, for a total of 55 minutes until you can indulge your taste buds into this delicious recipe!

Items Needed:

  • Skillet to cook meat in
  • Large Iron Skillet for Cornbread
  • Cooking Spray (I use Butter Flavored Spray)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs of Ground Beef/Chuck (or whatever type of Hamburger Meat you like)
  • 1 Small Onion
  • Corn Meal Mix
  • 1 Can Whole Kernel Corn (Drained)
  • 1 Jar of Jalapeño Peppers
  • 8oz of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions:

Mix Corn Meal as directed on package adding the drained can of Whole Kernel Corn to the mixture. Set aside.

Next dice up 1/2 of onion and about 4 Jalapeño Peppers (or more if you like it spicy hot) and add to Hamburger meat and cook until brown. Drain fat/grease.

Now in an Iron Skillet spray it with your cooking spray and pour just enough of the Cornbread mix to cover the bottom of the iron skillet, then pour the meat mixture on top of the Cornbread you just poured into the skillet.

Next sprinkle 1/2 to the Whole Bag of Cheddar Cheese on top of meat, depends on how much cheese you like.

Last Pour the remaining Cornbread batter on top of cheese and spread to cover.

Place Iron skillet in oven and bake at 325-350 degrees until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. If your oven cooks fast then you may want to cook this at a lower temperature.

~Bon' Appetit~
