~Part One~

Somewhere on a coast in South Carolina there is a Lighthouse that holds a woman for all eternity. It is said by night her beauty is so grand than no man can look away, and by day she is as plain as one can be. She is cursed as the story tells of her mother who was so in love with a fisherman that she bounded her soul to his forever. Her mother thought that this man returned the same love to her, but in the years to come she found out his heart was not as true to her.

He had been out to sea for almost 5 weeks and her heart was aching so bad for her to be held his arms, that she was drawn to the sea on that summer night. She walked and walked the shores of the sea as something inside her guided her to the cliffs that overlooked a cove. She found a path that took her high above the sea and to the cliffs point. As she approached the edge her heart jumped a beat as she grabbed for her chest for what she saw below was her true love's ship.

She was overcome with joy, and love thinking he had returned home early to see her, and to be there for the birth of their first born. Careful not to hurt her self or her unborn child she made her way down the side of the cliffs to the shore line and to his ship, as her mind raced with many thoughts. "Why did he pull his ship into this cove" was one question she asked and immediately came up with the answer he wanted to surprise her for he was not due home for at least another two weeks. Then she thought, "What if he is not on board, and is finding his way home to me", but just as she asked herself that question she looked up at the ship and saw candles burning inside.

When she made it to the shore line, she stopped herself before approaching the ship, she needed to calm and gather herself for she did not want to look affright when her eyes met his and they embraced. She went to the water to check her reflection in what little light was left from the evening’s sun. As she straightened her dress and hair, she heard someone laughing, a female laughing, and it was coming from her man's ship. No woman was allowed to go to sea, and the other three men that accompanied him on sea were all married and lived miles into the sea's town, not on the shore as she and her man lived.

She gathered her dress about her as she quietly made her way to the ship. She stood with her back pressed against the ship as she strained to listen to the voices she heard inside. She was not for sure if it was just two voices she heard or more for they were too muffled for her to make out. So she walked around to the other side of the ship and found a plank had been laid from the ship to the land. She than found a rock to sit upon as she carefully and quietly took off her shoes and walked over to the plank in her stocking feet. Even though the sea was cold as it washed over her feet she did not feel it as she was boiling hot with images of her man and another woman embraced within his arms. She kept screaming in her mind that the female aboard this ship was not there with her man, not the man that she bounded her soul and life too. She quietly walked up the plank and onto the ship as the voices that were muffled before was becoming clearer with every step she took. The voices she heard was of two people only, one woman, and one was her man’s sultry voice saying the same sweet nothings he had said to her a million times over to another woman.

As she stood there on the deck of the ship her heart became full of rage and hatred. She raised her hands to the sea and her heart shattered into a million pieces and was replaced by stone. She prayed to anything and anyone that would listen to help bring the wrath of hell upon her man and his mistress. As she prayed the winds stirred the trees and the ocean and a chill fell upon the air. Her hair was blown all about her, and with each breath she inhaled she took within her the powers from the sea.

As the storm within her grew more and more, the skies of the sea became darker, and the winds became higher and higher causing wave upon wave to crash into the ship. As black ravens circled and screeched above, her eyes grew red with a fire of hate as turned and faced the Captain's door. She was turning the door's knob on her hand when her vision became clear of what was to become of his fate, his mistress' fate, and even her own fate...

How come people tell you to stay a kid for as long as possible, yet the moment you do something childish or immature they tell you to grow up?

People are NEVER satisfied in this world. Either you are acting like an "Ole Fuddy Dud" or your acting too "Immature!" There seems to never be no middle ground.

For the rest of our lives we are going to be making mistakes and acting immature. We have to make these mistakes so we can learn from them. I mean if we never acted immature and made mistakes then we would be "Perfect", and therefore we would be sitting in the Grand Kingdom we call Heaven, right next to God himself.

So the next time you decide to Judge someone for being or acting immature, remember no one is perfect and I am sure there have been many that have thought your past or present actions were immature.

"Judge Not Less Ye Be Judged!"

If someone owns a piece of land, do they own it all the way to the center of the Earth?

We all know that when owning land it is surveyed to show you where you land boundaries are, to show exactly how wide your land is and how long your land is, and exactly how much land you own. But just how deep does your land go? Is there any law that tells a land owner how far down towards the Earth's core he owns? Just how deep can we dig down on our own land? Well I know as a child, we dug down 500 feet for a water well.

On that note how about the area above your land?

I own the trees that are own my land and some are 15-20 feet tall so I must own the air space that extends to the top of my trees. I on the land that goes up the mountainside so I must own the air space that extends up the mountain to my property line. If I build a 5 story high home then I must own the air space all the way to the top of my roof line. So if we own the air space of our property, then why aren't we getting any kickbacks on "Cell Phone Air Time", or "Flying Time of Air Crafts"?

Hummmm interesting question is you ask me!?!

Five days after all the rainfall we got and flooding, the water levels at the Buffalo National River were perfect for a great float. So my husband and I loaded the canoe, the ice chest, some towels, sunglasses, and other trinkets along with our little Yorkie names "Half Pint" and off to the River we went.
We put in at Hasty Cut Off and floated down the river to Carver a 4 mile float trip. It was such a beautiful day, and the River was flowing at about a speed of 2 miles per hour. We made the trip in 2.5 hours, taking the half hour to swim and play.
When we got to Carver and pulled out canoe out, we went up to the Camping/Picnic area of Carver and had a very pleasant picnic. We then just sat/laid there and enjoyed the scenery of the Mountains, Trees, Clouds, Fresh Breezy Air, Sounds of Birds Singing, and the Beautiful Sunshine.
All in all today was a perfect glorious day blessed by God~

Till Next. Time..God Bless!

Ozark Mountains of Arkansas~My Home Sweet Home~

Once upon a time, there was this southern belle who met a northern man that was living in Missouri. On their first date she fell head over heels in love with him and he fell in love with her too. Just three months later they got married. Their life together has been wonderfully full of love and laughter. Their passion for one another is so strong because their weaknesses are the other ones strengths.

He and his family loves her Southern ways and her Southern Accent. She loves his boldness of knowledge, his gentleman ways, and his loving family. He respects her Southern ways and beliefs and for that she will always be grateful. He may be from the North, and he may play a Union Soldier in the American Civil War Reenactments, but in his heart of hearts he has become her Southern Gentleman from the North!

As usual I got up this morning at 6am to take my son to work, his truck is currently in the shop, and as I was driving back as the early morning dawn was breaking through over the horizon I all of a sudden had some great thoughts enter my mind and I got excited about them thoughts and wanted to blog about them.
However, once I got home I was still a little sleepy so I thought I would get another hour or so of sleep in before I started my day. I woke up an hour and half later and ever since then I have been searching my brain for those great thoughts I had this morning. I remember having them; I just cannot remember what those are. I even remember the excited feelings I had, I just for some reason cannot find what those thoughts where. I have searched every corner of my brain, even dusted off a few old memories to see if maybe those thoughts were hiding under them, and still nothing.

Sometimes I think I am going crazy. You know that old saying.....if your head was not attached you would lose it. Well that saying is sooooo true when it comes to me. Anything that is not attached to me I lose, misplace or I forget I even had it. With any luck maybe I will dream about those thoughts tonight and wake up remembering them, OR maybe I will have those thoughts enter my brain again in the morning when I once again take my son to work and drive back home in the early dawn hours of morning.

I really hope I find those thoughts, because I am going CRAZY trying to find (remember) them!!God Help Me!!

~Till Later......Peace~

This recipe is quick and simple to make and taste delicious. My family loves it with mashed potatoes so they can use some of the Cream of Mushroom soup to put on top of their potatoes.

Ingredients
  • 1lb Ground Beef/Chuck
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Onions
  • 1/4 Cup of Crumbled Crackers
  • 1Large Egg (raw)
  • 1tsp each of Salt & Pepper for Taste
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • 2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup

In a bowl place ground beef/chuck, 1/2 cups of chopped onions, 1/4 cup of crumbled crackers, 1 large egg, 1tsp of salt, and 1tsp of pepper and mix well. Roll into 2 inch meatballs.

Place meatballs into frying pan with a little oil and cook meatballs by turning/rolling meatballs several times until done. Drain fat/grease!

In a separate bowl mix the 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup with the 1/4 cup of milk and pour in frying pan with the meatballs. Mix well and cover pan and let simmer for 5-10 minutes stirring constantly until hot.

Serve with any side dishes, goes great with mashed potatoes.

NOTE* You can make the meatballs into small meat patties if you would like.

I talked to my mom this morning and all hell has broken lose at her house. My cousin’s wife, who was staying a few days with her, decided yesterday evening that she no longer wanted to live life, or at least that is what they think. She ended taking 38 Soma pills, which are muscle relaxers, and went into what is known as a "Soma Coma". The ambulance was called and she was taken to the Hospital where she was treated and once out of danger they moved up to the psych ward. My cousin (her husband) is at the prosecuting attorney's office getting it court order for to be place in a institution to where she has to get help.

Apparently she has done this before, self-checked herself in to an institution then after 5-7 days check herself out since it was not court ordered. I really hope they can help her and get to the root of her deep seeded problems, make her face them, and then provide proper medication and counseling so she can succeed in staying well.

That is what it took for me. I had to not just tell them my most darkest seeded secrets and demons, I had to face them, challenge them, and learn to overcome (NOT GET OVER THEM) them, and that is when I found peace and happiness from within, and now I am a bi-polar success story!! I will pray that the right person finds her and helps her over her hurdles and she find true peace and happiness within herself. She really is a good person, she just has a lot of demons from her past that live in her present and control her, and she needs the right kind of help and guidance to teach her how to confront them demons and take control of them and place them back in her past where they belong so she can have a great future. May God Be With Her!!

Items Needed:

  • Skillet to cook meat in
  • Large Iron Skillet for Cornbread
  • Cooking Spray (I use Butter Flavored Spray)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs of Ground Beef/Chuck (or whatever type of Hamburger Meat you like)
  • 1 Small Onion
  • Corn Meal Mix
  • 1 Can Whole Kernel Corn (Drained)
  • 1 Jar of Jalapeño Peppers
  • 8oz of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions:

Mix Corn Meal as directed on package adding the drained can of Whole Kernel Corn to the mixture. Set aside.

Next dice up 1/2 of onion and about 4 Jalapeño Peppers (or more if you like it spicy hot) and add to Hamburger meat and cook until brown. Drain fat/grease.

Now in an Iron Skillet spray it with your cooking spray and pour just enough of the Cornbread mix to cover the bottom of the iron skillet, then pour the meat mixture on top of the Cornbread you just poured into the skillet.

Next sprinkle 1/2 to the Whole Bag of Cheddar Cheese on top of meat, depends on how much cheese you like.

Last Pour the remaining Cornbread batter on top of cheese and spread to cover.

Place Iron skillet in oven and bake at 325-350 degrees until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. If your oven cooks fast then you may want to cook this at a lower temperature.

OK so that last Thursday, January 6th, 2011 I fell and thought I broke my right arm and went to the ER and the doctor did not see a clean break, but due to all the swelling the doctor was unable to see if I had fractured it anywhere. So therefore he put me in a half cast, told me to see my doctor or specialist within 5-6 days to have re-x-rayed (I think that is a word…lol) to make sure I hadn‘t fractured it, and sent me home.
So I went to the doctor yesterday and they took another x-ray of my right arm and wrist and thank God I did not break/fracture it anywhere. The doctor told me I basically bruised the bones and soft tissue therefore I would have pain and soreness for the next few weeks, and to take it easy while it heels. However she (the doctor) told me that if I have any signs of it getting worse in anyway (pain or weakness) then I needed to contact her or go back to the ER to make sure that I do not have damage to any ligaments or tendons. My doctor did not check for this now because I do not have any insurance right now (I will be covered on insurance as of February 1st, 2011) and to check for those types of problems will have to be done either through a Ultra Sound, or a MRI.

So we will see how things go and with the God Lord’s blessing I have not damaged the ligaments or tendons and my arm and hand will get stronger with each passing day! Thank you guys for all our prayers and blessings!!

~Peace~

OK so I read this article today about babies may need more then breast milk. The article said there had been a study done by the British Medical Journal showing that babies may need to be started on solids (baby food) as earlier as 4 months instead of 6 months.
I do not know where these people come from but I know for the most part people in the U.S. already have their babies on baby cereal and baby food anywhere from 2-4 months. In fact my oldest son who was a very large baby at birth was hungry all the time from the time he was born. My breast milk was not enough to satisfy him so the pediatrician had me add formula to his feedings along with my breast milk and that still did not satisfy him so by the time he was 3 weeks old he was on baby cereal and then he graduated to baby food by the time he was 2 months old. And for the past 22 years he has been a very healthy child/man.

Their study also stated that by introducing baby food at 4 months may be important to them and benefit them later in life of being more acceptable of green leafy vegetables and other foods which may potentially influence a more healthier outcome and reduce obesity.

Well “No Shit Sherlock”, my youngest son who I also but on baby cereal and baby food early (no he was not as big or unsatisfied with milk as my oldest son) just because it worked so well for my oldest son, loves any kind of food. Since his toddler years he has always loved salads, green peas, green beans, and all foods. He will eat almost anything you put in front of him and he has been that way for his entire 20 years of existence. Oh and by the way he is 20 years old and is as skinny as a lamp post…..no obesity there!!

My 20 yr old son!!

So yeah in my opinion their study it right, but gees come on scientist get with the times. Most people have been doing this for years!!

~Till next time….Peace~
